Engineered Roasted Peat Flooring

Engineered Roasted Peat Flooring

Roasted Peat is a natural dark earth hue that deepens towards chocolate, and the colour is not a stain. The timber is thermally modified, so the tone runs the full depth of the board and wear can never expose a paler layer underneath.

The engineered version comes from the First Floors collection: a medium brush texture under a WOCA Denmark UV-cured oil, tongue and groove, end matched, and laid either glued down or floated.

Let us know any questions or what documents you require and we’ll get back to you.

Your Questions. Answered.

The questions we hear most often at the showroom. Don’t see yours? Call (08) 9204 2611 or come visit us at 12 Burgay Court, Osborne Park.

Is Roasted Peat flooring suitable for kitchens and high-traffic areas?

Yes. Roasted Peat rates 9.5 kN on the Janka hardness scale, which is the number to look at for dents and traffic. No timber floor is dent-proof, but this one takes a busy kitchen. What matters more is that it can be re-coated when the finish is due, rather than replaced.

Do you install the flooring?

We don’t, and that’s deliberate. We supply the floor and match you with an installer through our Trade-Match service, chosen for your suburb, your subfloor and the format you’ve picked. You deal with the installer directly, and we stay involved on the product side for the life of the floor.

What grades of Roasted Peat do you stock?

This range runs in a single Standard grade, selected for consistency rather than character – the board you see in the showroom is the board that arrives on site. If you want more visible feature, gum vein and colour movement, ask us about the solid Roasted Peat range, which comes in Select, Standard and Feature grades.

Can Roasted Peat be laid over underfloor heating?

Talk to us before you specify it. Whether a floor suits a heated slab depends on the board thickness, the format and the system itself, and the answer differs by supplier. We’ll check the manufacturer’s position for your build rather than give you a general rule that might not hold.

How long does supply and installation take?

The boards arrive prefinished, so once they’re down the floor is done – no sanding, no coating, no two weeks of closed rooms and fumes. Stock is picked up or delivered from our Osborne Park warehouse; your installer sets the laying time from there.
