Here it sits as a 4mm hardwood lamella on a low-shrinkage Hevea core, prefinished in a seven-layer Bona lacquer at an ultra-matt gloss. The look of an oiled floor with the durability of a lacquered one, and a Valinge click that puts it down fast.

Yes. Spotted Gum rates 11.0 kN on the Janka hardness scale, which is the number to look at for dents and traffic. It runs about 950kg/m³ dry density. No timber floor is dent-proof, but this one takes a busy kitchen. What matters more is that it can be re-coated when the finish is due, rather than replaced.
We don’t, and that’s deliberate. We supply the floor and match you with an installer through our Trade-Match service, chosen for your suburb, your subfloor and the format you’ve picked. You deal with the installer directly, and we stay involved on the product side for the life of the floor.
This range runs in a single Standard grade, selected for consistency rather than character – the board you see in the showroom is the board that arrives on site. If you want more visible feature, gum vein and colour movement, ask us about the solid Spotted Gum range, which comes in Select, Standard and Feature grades.
Talk to us before you specify it. Whether a floor suits a heated slab depends on the board thickness, the format and the system itself, and the answer differs by supplier. We’ll check the manufacturer’s position for your build rather than give you a general rule that might not hold.
The boards arrive prefinished, so once they’re down the floor is done – no sanding, no coating, no two weeks of closed rooms and fumes. Stock is picked up or delivered from our Osborne Park warehouse; your installer sets the laying time from there.
